Not ALWAYS a desert dweller!

Now, just because I have spent a lot of time in the Southwest and speak so highly of the beauty of New Mexico and Arizona does NOT mean that I am all about the dry, arid climates! Attached are some pictures I have taken of some beautiful "beachy" spots I have enjoyed. From growing up in "America's Finest City" (known as San Diego, CA), to living a few years on Catalina Island, to a trip to Puerto Rico, I LOVE the ocean and life around the water! So enjoy some of these scenic pictures taken in some of the most beautiful locations I have visited. And I promise to see if I can dig up some old pictures of me with my long hair in my teenage years...! Yikes! I don't know if anyone would really want to see those! :) But I thought it would be fun (if I can find them!) to post some old pictures of beach trips from the early to mid- 1980's...

OH! and since time in the sun usually means a sunburn now and then, I have provided my favorite sunburn picture for you to see...

OH! (Part 2) If you look at the picture of Avalon Harbor and the houses looking down at the pier, you will see an apartment building circled in red. That is the apartment that we used to live in! Wow!...Still trying to remember WHY we left...! LOL :)

Talk soon!

  1. Great photos! But EVERYONE you've met here would much rather you live in the SW. Can you beat a New Mexican sunset? Can you get real fry bread anywhere else but Gallup? Can you hear a waitress ask you "red or green?" anywhere but New Mexico? Can you ride a unicycle?
    Eric can.
And that's why you need to stay close by! Where else could I find a better friend? A better supervisor? A better person altogether? IN THE SOUTHWEST!! Horray for Mark and his family. They keep the SW interesting.

Where else would a waitress ask you "red or green?"? Where else could you hang out than the Pulse? Can you beat having two Q's and three U's in a city name? Can you ride a unicycle?
    Eric can.
And that's why you should stay close by! Where else could one find a better friend, supervisor, and altogether great guy? Only in the SW. Mark and his family keep the SW interesting. Darn it.

  3. P.S. I may have posted twice. Well, thrice now. Anyway, if I did, just delete one.... or two because of this one. :)
